Gotham is served by 3 main shops which are detailed below. I will soon (hopefully) be receiving a brief history of each shop owner and his/her shop, so keep a look out.

The Fish and Chip Shop

Frydays fish and chip shop was established in 1927 and was acquired from it's then owner, Mr. Roland "Roley" Thomas, in 1995 by the present owner Mrs. Elaine Lawton. The shop was then completely renovated and refitted including a brand new range. The shop is still run by Mrs. Elaine Lawton together with her sister Mrs. Julie Waldron. The focus of the shop is very much on quality product, value for money and good service and this was recognised when Frydays won the coveted Batchelors mushy peas "Chippy of the Year" award in 1996. The shop was even further improved with an extension and new preparation area built in 1998.
